Host Teacher Application

Essential Requirements to become a Host Teacher

    • Enthusiasm for teaching and a warm caring personality
    • Professional Qualification(s) in the language you teach
    • A clean, comfortable and welcoming home

Our teachers love the flexibility of teaching from their own home on a freelance basis. When you become a host teacher with ILH, you receive professional help and support but still receive all the benefits of working on a freelance basis. We place all ages of students – anyone who wants to learn a foreign language, year round.

A major component of the homestay product is interaction between the teacher and student outside of lesson times, and the immersion in home life and cultural activities around the area.
