| Students This is a special course in the summer uniquely for youngsters of 13 – 17 years old who wish to share the lessons and host teacher family with one or two students of a different nationality. It is available only in English in Southern England. It is suitable for those who have a minimum of 2 years’ English up to High Intermediate level (not Advanced). Aim and Content The aim is to provide an interesting course where two or three teenage students of different nationalities are placed together with the same host teacher. As well as sharing the class, they share their free time and do activities together. As they do not speak the same language, they necessarily communicate in English to each other, as well as with the family. This is a General English course and cannot normally be orientated to a specific objective (such as a particular examination). Hours, Duration and Dates Students have 15 hours’ class per week, Monday to Friday. Stays must be of 2 weeks or more between the weekend of 1 / 2 July and the weekend of 29 / 30 July. If students wish to have additional weeks before or after the Summer Special Course period they may book the Standard Course for the additional weeks. Note: if no partner can be found for any part of the stay during the course dates the student will receive 15 hours’ one-to-one tuition at the same price. A partner student cannot be guaranteed. |
